"So I quit!": Surprising reason for Abbie Chatfield news

<p>Abbie Chatfield has announced that she's left her radio show <em>Hot Nights With Abbie</em>. </p> <p>The former <em>Bachelor </em>star made the shock announcement to her 455,000 followers in a video posted on Instagram on Thursday. </p> <p>"So I quit radio! I wanted to do a video so it's not a dramatic post so it doesn't seem like its a big deal, I don't think it is and it's totally my decision," she said. </p> <p>"But finally after two months off... I realised what I wanted to prioritise, TV, podcasting, my live tours and putting things into that as well as having a social life and seeing my friends on a weeknight and being able to have some time to myself, Walter [her dog], my family and friends."</p> <p>She added that working on radio wasn't sparking her joy anymore.</p> <p> "I've made the decision, I wasn't getting joy from that environment anymore, it was really taxing on me and it made my performance in other areas go down as well.</p> <p>"I'm ready to let go and see what doors open up. I just didn't want to do it anymore, but I'm staying with the LiSTNR family," she added reassuring fans that her podcast <em>It's A Lot </em>will still keep going. </p> <p>Chatfield announced that her final show will air on Thursday evening and that she will still host <em>Fridayz Live</em>. </p> <p>"I'm really happy with my decision and super proud of myself for letting this role go," she wrote in her caption. </p> <p>She later on released an official statement which read: "I've made the difficult decision to move away from radio for now.</p> <p>"I have decided I want my focus to be on my podcast, It's A Lot and other television opportunities rather than remaining on air in a daily capacity on Hot Nights. I am looking forward to continuing my relationship with LiSTNR into the future."</p> <p>SCA Chief Content Officer, Dave Cameron also announced Chatfield's decision to leave. </p> <p>"For personal reasons, Abbie Chatfield has made the decision to step away from Hot Nights, her national radio show on the Hit Network. Abbie's last show will be today.</p> <p>"We are pleased to say that Abbie will remain with SCA, and we look forward to continuing to support the ongoing growth of her extraordinarily successful podcast, It's a Lot with Abbie Chatfield, published on LiSTNR."</p>

Abbie Chatfield fires up over Sonia Kruger's Gold Logie win

<p>Abbie Chatfield has slammed Sonia Kruger's recent Gold Logie win after accusing the TV presenter of discrimination.</p> <p>The <em>Masked Singer </em>judge expressed her disapproval of Kruger's Gold Logie win on her <em>It's A Lot podcast</em>, where she criticised the "disgusting" comments Kruger made about Muslim immigration in 2016.</p> <p>"It's very easy for white feminists to be like, "A woman won. Aren't you happy a woman won?" Yeah, no Sonia," she said.</p> <p>"I'm not happy that someone who made discriminatory comments on the <em>Today</em> show about Muslim people in 2016 won," she added.</p> <p>Chatfield echoed the voices of the viewers at home who also took issue with Kruger's "discriminatory" comments and believed that she did not deserve to win the Most Popular Personality award at the Logies.</p> <blockquote class="instagram-media" style="background: #FFF; border: 0; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: 0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width: 540px; min-width: 326px; padding: 0; width: calc(100% - 2px);" data-instgrm-captioned="" data-instgrm-permalink="https://www.instagram.com/reel/CvvilL9NQUm/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading" data-instgrm-version="14"> <div style="padding: 16px;"> <div style="display: flex; flex-direction: row; align-items: center;"> <div style="background-color: #f4f4f4; border-radius: 50%; flex-grow: 0; height: 40px; margin-right: 14px; width: 40px;"> </div> <div style="display: flex; flex-direction: column; flex-grow: 1; justify-content: center;"> <div style="background-color: #f4f4f4; border-radius: 4px; flex-grow: 0; height: 14px; margin-bottom: 6px; width: 100px;"> </div> <div style="background-color: #f4f4f4; border-radius: 4px; flex-grow: 0; height: 14px; width: 60px;"> </div> </div> </div> <div style="padding: 19% 0;"> </div> <div style="display: block; height: 50px; margin: 0 auto 12px; width: 50px;"> </div> <div style="padding-top: 8px;"> <div style="color: #3897f0; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 550; line-height: 18px;">Ver esta publicación en Instagram</div> </div> <div style="padding: 12.5% 0;"> </div> <div style="display: flex; flex-direction: row; margin-bottom: 14px; align-items: center;"> <div> <div style="background-color: #f4f4f4; border-radius: 50%; height: 12.5px; width: 12.5px; transform: translateX(0px) translateY(7px);"> </div> <div style="background-color: #f4f4f4; height: 12.5px; transform: rotate(-45deg) translateX(3px) translateY(1px); width: 12.5px; flex-grow: 0; margin-right: 14px; margin-left: 2px;"> </div> <div style="background-color: #f4f4f4; border-radius: 50%; height: 12.5px; width: 12.5px; transform: translateX(9px) translateY(-18px);"> </div> </div> <div style="margin-left: 8px;"> <div style="background-color: #f4f4f4; border-radius: 50%; flex-grow: 0; height: 20px; width: 20px;"> </div> <div style="width: 0; height: 0; border-top: 2px solid transparent; border-left: 6px solid #f4f4f4; border-bottom: 2px solid transparent; transform: translateX(16px) translateY(-4px) rotate(30deg);"> </div> </div> <div style="margin-left: auto;"> <div style="width: 0px; border-top: 8px solid #F4F4F4; border-right: 8px solid transparent; transform: translateY(16px);"> </div> <div style="background-color: #f4f4f4; flex-grow: 0; height: 12px; width: 16px; transform: translateY(-4px);"> </div> <div style="width: 0; height: 0; border-top: 8px solid #F4F4F4; border-left: 8px solid transparent; transform: translateY(-4px) translateX(8px);"> </div> </div> </div> <div style="display: flex; flex-direction: column; flex-grow: 1; justify-content: center; margin-bottom: 24px;"> <div style="background-color: #f4f4f4; border-radius: 4px; flex-grow: 0; height: 14px; margin-bottom: 6px; width: 224px;"> </div> <div style="background-color: #f4f4f4; border-radius: 4px; flex-grow: 0; height: 14px; width: 144px;"> </div> </div> <p style="color: #c9c8cd; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 17px; margin-bottom: 0; margin-top: 8px; overflow: hidden; padding: 8px 0 7px; text-align: center; text-overflow: ellipsis; white-space: nowrap;"><a style="color: #c9c8cd; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: 17px; text-decoration: none;" href="https://www.instagram.com/reel/CvvilL9NQUm/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Una publicación compartida por IT’S A LOT PODCAST (@itsalotpod)</a></p> </div> </blockquote> <p>In 2016, Kruger called for Australia to stop Muslim immigration because she wanted to "feel safe".</p> <p>"Personally, I would like to see it stop now for Australia because I want to feel safe as all of our citizens do when we go out to celebrate Australia Day," she said during a heated panel discussion at the time.</p> <p>At the time, she also argued that there was a correlation between the number of Muslims in a country and the number of terrorist attacks.</p> <p>Chatfield also expressed her disappointment in Kruger for not using her platform to help those in need.</p> <p>"How about you use the privilege you have as a white woman to not discriminate against people of colour or people who have a different minority than you?" she said.</p> <p><em>Images: Instagram</em></p>

Abbie Chatfield destroys Sam Frost over anti-vax rant

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As <em>Home and Away</em> star Sam Frost broke down on Instagram detailing why she is not getting vaccinated, Abbie Chatfield let loose. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">On Saturday, Sam Frost took to Instagram and became emotional in her live video, saying, “There are a lot of different reasons people aren’t getting vaccinated – and it might be because of their medical history, their concerns they might have, they might have family history, it might be religious reasons, whatever.”</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I want to tell those people that feel like they’re getting separated from society – well, I’m not vaccinated, and there’s a reason why I’m not, I’ve spoken to my doctor and my psychologist about it, and I’m going to keep it private,” she said.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Sam then begged people to have “compassion, kindness and empathy” for the unvaccinated, before deleting her Instagram later that day. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Former <em>Bachelor</em> star Abbie Chatfield, who has been outspoken about the selfishness of the anti-vax community, write on her own Instagram on Sunday, “I mean, it kinda speaks for itself.
